Health Care Facilities and Services on CD-ROM

An easy way to save the search results from your TMD publishing software product as a normal document file, to cut and paste or edit:

1) Open the PRINTERS window from the START / SETTINGS buttons

2) Select ADD PRINTER, follow the installation wizard and select GENERIC / TEXT ONLY under manufactures, you will need your WINDOWS installation disk, when asked for the PORT SETTINGS change it to PRINT TO FILE, finish the installation.

3) Open your TMD publishing software product and under FILE select PRINTER SETUP then the GENERIC / TEXT ONLY printer

4) After creating a search report select Print, and a dialog box will ask you to name the file, give it a .txt ending and save it to MYDOCUMENTS or some other folder on your computer.

5) You will now be able to open this file with your favorite word processing software, to cut and paste or edit it.

Running TMD software on Windows XP pro

1) Place the TMD software CD in your computers CD drive

2) Go to START | MY COMPUTER, open the window then double click on the CD DRIVE icon

3) You should now see a list of files, locate the file called SETUP.EXE, single click to highlight it.

4) Now right click on it to pull down the menu and select PROPERTIES

5) Under COMPATIBILITY MODE put a check mark on the box next to RUN THIS PROGRAM
IN COMPATIBILITY MODE FOR

6) In the drop box that opens below, choose WINDOWS 98/WINDOWS ME

7) Click OK

8) Now double click on the SETUP.EXE icon, and the program will install

TMD software issues:

If you are having problems running TMD software on your computer, (the software crashes) the problem most often occurs on computers using a HP Inkjet printer as its default printer. The HP software interferes with the TMD software. The simplest solution is to use ANY other printer as the DEFAULT printer in your Windows - Settings - Printers. If you do not have another printer you can follow the above instructions to install a Generic Text printer as your default.
